Linking external pages

Login to your website editing

The first step is to always login to the editing of your website. To do this you just need to add '/wp-admin' to the end of your website address and press enter. For example:
  1. https://examplewebsite.nhs.uk/wp-admin
You will be presented with a login page. If you have a dashboard, your login details will be the same as the ones you use for that. 

If you can't remember your login details, please click the forgot your password link.

Linking existing text to an external page

Once you have created or navigated to your page, please follow these steps to link an external link to text already there:
  1. Copy the URL of the website you want to link to
  2. Find the section where you want to add the link
  3. Highlight the text you want to make clickable
  4. Select the "Link" icon from the toolbar





  1. Paste the URL into the search bar or link field
  2. Select "Save"

Adding a new external link

Please follow these steps to add an external link into a page:
  1. Copy the URL of the website you want to link to
  2. Find the section where you want to add the link
  3. Type the text that you would like your patients to see
  4. Highlight the text
  5. Select the "Link" icon from the toolbar
  6. Paste the URL into the search bar or link field
  7. Select "Save"
